More  than  robots

Our motto “We’re all Gearheads” includes everyone involved in robotics: students, mentors, sponsors, volunteers, and community members. We have an active presence in our community, acting as ambassadors of FIRST.  Ultimately, being a Gearhead is more than just spending endless hours in the shop, it starts a lifelong interest in STEAM, a dedication to FIRST, and a desire to pursue the Gearhead’s mission. We hope our efforts today and in the future inspire others to embrace the values of FIRST, adopt Gracious Professionalism, and pursue careers in STEAM.

• Design (CAD and stuff)
• Fabrication (machine, cut, and otherwise work with metal and stuff)
• Build (construct, integrate, and assembly the stuff)
• Controls (program, wire, and stuff)
• Media (draw, write, record, promote, and photograph stuff)
• Strategy (plan, scout, coordinate, stuff)
• Business (promote, write grants, find sponsors, and buy stuff)
• Safety (keep us safe, promote safety and stuff)
